Madagascar OUR SOCIAL PROJECT
In our sector, we are in perpetual contact with these local and village communities, we live and feel with them these needs, more than essential. That's why we created our social component which aims to help fill, at our level, this gap. An impulse from the heart,
We are currently part of two social networks :
• The Association ANTSO RE (National Association of Solidarity and Responsible Tourism )
• From the Association DES PROJETS ET DES AILES that works in the recognition and anhancement of the person with disability in Madagascar.
1 – CHILDREN OF THE DISTRICT
Tour Malin Madagascar / Madavoyages participates in the support of the education and endownment of school supplies for a dozen children since 2011.
2 – VILLAGE OF TAMBOHOVORY (FIANARANTSOA RN7)
Since 2011, 15 Childrens from the village of Tambohovory benefit school fees and the provision of school supplies
Tour Malin Madagascar / Madavoyages continues the sensitization of the villagers with regard to the cleanness and the protection of the Environment.
3 – THE HARANANA VILLAGE IN THE PANGALANES (EAST)
In 2012, Tour Malin Madagascar / Madavoyages, supported by a precious group of Friends, former travelers of Tour Malin Madagascar, and Sylvain, the manager of the hotel PALMARIUM located in Ankanin'ny Nofy, have agrred to build a school in the village (Haranana) located about 1 hour by boat from Manambato.
SOME OF OUR ACHIEVEMENTS :
• Construction of a large main square with 2 classrooms, accomodating a hundred students
• Construction of a classroom of preschool , welcoming for twenty childrens)
• Construction of latrines corners for school children
• Construction of 3 huts for 3 teachers and a library office
• Installation 2 manual water pumps
• Construction of various furnitures : tables / benches, storages, blackboards, chairs, …
• Provision of various school supplies for teachers and students since 2013
• Regular delivery of various tablets for basic care
• Granting various first necessity products including rice bags, seed bags, bottles of cooking oil , bags of sugar, pastas, biscuits ...
• Awareness of the respect for the environmental and cleanliness (individual toilet construction, use of the "tip top" system (installing a bottle of water at each house entrance to wash hands), …
• Sensitization to sustainable agriculture : creation of nurseries, fruit trees plantations, …
• Various activities with children : drawing workshops, reading story, …
NEEDS / PROJECTS :
• Support and assistance of various actors of agriculture for the
development of local agriculture to ensure a certain self-sufficiency of villagers at the level of nutrition
• Help and assistance for an opportunity to create a small school canteen for childrens
• Research of technicians search for the rehabilitation and construction of new latrines corners adapted to the place
• Construction of welcome house (for accommodation and meals ) for people wishing to visit and to share with villagers
• Diversification of the plantation : vegetables, fruit trees, …
• Seeking assistance for a project of development of the culture and livestock on the spot for the villagers themselves and the objective of self-sufficiency of the community and towards a possibility of surplus of products for the sale to generate an income to live on and to pay the teachers, and a vegetable garden for children.
• Research support and partnership for the realization of the most varied culture and sustainability (technicians, assistants, financing, training, …)
• Organization of recreational days for children (reading, animation, …)
• Participation in various fees : teachers travel for training, children's travel for official exams, participation in teachers' salaries , ….)
• Rehabilitation and re installation of manual pumps by technicians
