After the breakfast, a little tour of the capital, beyond its famous Independence Avenue, in going in the upper town. Enjoy the historical places and the monuments which witness the past time of Madagascar. Some scenic spots allow taking wonderful pictures that are worthy of a postal card.
Continuation to the city of water of Antsirabe. On the way and in Antsirabe, several local workshops' visits are possible, such as the aluminum foundry of Ambatolampy in 84km from our destination, stone workshops, zebu horns ...

After the breakfast, you will perform the city tour of Antsirabe and also some workshops.
This city has a strong European influence, due to the style of its infrastructure and the weather that reigns there. It was the vacation stay place of French people during the colonial time in Madagascar. After this short visit, it will be the time to take back to the national road 7 that will draw to the south. You will have the chance to take some stops for enjoying the scene that make the identity of the Malagasy Highlands : the rice fields in terrace, the houses with brick of lateritic red color ....

A morning dedicated to the visit of the Ranomafana National Park for discovering the evergreen forest, a prediction place for fauna and flora that are archaic, endemic and that mots of all represents a strong speciation. Lemurs, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects will be there.
In the afternoon, coming back to the N7 for driving along the south to Fianarantsoa. Arrival on spot, visit of the old city. Installation in the room.

Departure for Ranohira going beyond Ambalavao, the capital of Zebu. We will have the chance to visit some well-known workshops in the region, such as the Antemoro paper manufacturing (a paper that is conceived by artisans from vegetal fiber).
Continuation to Ranohira. We pass by the highlands to the vast space of the south and we leave little by little the small rice fields pasture places. The photo stops will be frequent : the landscape is splendid . Installation in your hotel

Eventual visit the Anja reserve , which is located in 13 km Ambalavao is possible. A inescapable site if we want to observe nearly the ring-tailed lemurs, the most famous lemurs of the Island (in Option)

This day will be dedicated to the discovery of one of the most famous sites of great Island. The massif of Isalo borrows a bit the American far-west landscape, An austrian flora and a unique flora. A sublime decor ! Besides, the National Park offers a wondreful jaunting pallet to do for a half or a full-day. From easy to medium, these jaunts are accessible for everybody. Nice visit!

Departure, always direction to the south in passing through the thorn bushes. We leave in stages the mountain scene for large valleys with thorn cavities. The Mahafaly area is known for its tombs surmounted by aloalo (mortuary totem), we will see them from distance for limiting the negative impacts of the massification of tourism under heritages. They represent an exceptional value for the local population. We don't have the right to approach them.
The thorny will replace the mango trees and tamarind, the temperature is going to be increased until reaching the 35 ° on the coast.
