longtime project of the Malagasy authorities, Electronic visa is now a reality accessible online to tourists of all countries.
More than two years after the initial announcement, the tourists, including french, can now claim their nonimmigrant e-Visa on the government website: evisamada.gov.mg in addition to the possibilities of obtaining the embassy before departure or arrival in the country where it is already issued, since last year, electronically.
On the official website, Malagasy authorities propose a questionnaire can not be simpler, which goes to the point, claiming the passport information, the desired type of visa, travel dates and arrival airport. Note that the request can be made up to six months before arrival in the country.
Regarding the types of visas, Tourists can only, for the time being, use the online interface, for their living 30, 60 or 90 days. Note that e-Visa starts at the desired arrival date and informed online for the visa period requested.

The eligible online entry points are:
– Antananarivo International Airport (Antananarivo-Ivato)

– Fort Dauphin Airport

Upon completion of the request, within 48 hours of treatment 72 hours is announced by the Malagasy Government to receive email landing permission, it will print the document, or save on their smartphone, for presentation on arrival at the counter e-Visa accompanied by a valid passport, at least, 6 months with, at least, two blank pages.
On the tariff plan, tourism electronic visa is to be paid on arrival, to stop e-Visa, and costs:
– 35,00€ for a single entry visa 30 days
– 40,00€ for a single entry visa 60 days
– 50,00€ for a single entry visa 90 days
In comparison, visas obtained at the Paris embassy before departure cost respectively 27,00 €, 33,00€ 46.00 or €. The price of the visa obtained on arrival, without going through the e-Visa box, are attached to the same rates as the electronic visa online, to know: 35,00€ to 30 days and € 40.00 for 60 days, her visa 90 days now no longer directly issued on arrival.
To present the specifics of its online system, Malagasy authorities indicate that enables “recording each passenger on a centralized database, traceability of any payment of visa fees and a document control travel and mobility in the territory then issuing the secure electronic sticker”. They state that the establishment of such a device is intended to “fluidize the entry points, secure the territory and passengers and provide reliable and consistent information and statistics on immigration”.
